Who Needs a Security Camera System?

Security cameras are one of the best investments for peace of mind, insurance savings, and deterring crime:

Homeowners wanting to monitor entrances, driveways and backyards
Business owners needing to secure parking lots, entrances and stockrooms
Landlords and property managers monitoring rental properties remotely
Short-term rental (Airbnb/VRBO) hosts needing guest activity monitoring
Boat owners wanting marina surveillance on their vessel
Anyone who wants remote visibility from anywhere via smartphone
Blind spots around your property that burglars exploit
↓
Strategically placed cameras with wide-angle lenses eliminate blind spots and cover all entry points 24/7
Fuzzy, useless footage when you need to identify someone
↓
4K cameras with proper night vision capture license plates, faces and details — footage that actually holds up

FAQ

Security Camera Installation — Common Questions

Wired or wireless — which is better for South Florida homes?
Wired PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras are more reliable, have no battery issues, and deliver consistent high-quality footage. We recommend wired for permanent installations. Wireless cameras are useful for locations where running cable is difficult — like a detached garage. We can mix both in one system.
How many cameras do I need?
It depends on your property size and what you want to cover. A typical home needs 4–8 cameras: front door, back door, garage, driveway, and backyard. Businesses typically need 8–16+. We design the layout during our free site visit and recommend exactly what you need — nothing more.
What's the difference between NVR and DVR systems?
NVR (Network Video Recorder) works with IP cameras over ethernet — higher resolution, more flexible, better image quality. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) works with older analog cameras. For new installations we always recommend NVR/IP systems for the quality and remote access capabilities.
Can I view my cameras remotely from anywhere?
Yes. All systems we install include a mobile app for live viewing, recorded footage review, and motion alerts — from anywhere in the world with internet. We set up the app on your phone before we leave and walk you through how to use it.
How much storage do I need?
It depends on the number of cameras, resolution, and how many days of footage you want to store. Most clients opt for 7–30 days of local storage on the NVR. We can also configure cloud backup for additional protection. We calculate the right storage size during the site assessment.
Do cameras work during a Florida power outage?
Yes, if you add a UPS (battery backup) to your NVR and use PoE switches on battery backup — which we can install. During extended outages, cameras stay running until the battery depletes. We recommend UPS for critical camera systems.
